TEDx TALK
Design Yourself to Change the World
In February, 2022 I was delighted to give a TEDx talk at TEDx RyersonU. The following is a description from the TEDx YouTube channel:

If you want to change the world, you must first know who you are and what strengths you possess. Author and design thinking expert, Julia Allworth, shares life-changing lessons from her own story of designing herself. This personal, insightful, and heartfelt talk will leave you with a blueprint for designing yourself so you, too, can change the world. Julia is a leader, innovator and author who specializes in equity-centered design thinking. She strives to design with, rather than for people.
Julia leads the Innovation Hub at the University of Toronto, an on-campus consultancy that supports building better student experiences using design thinking. Julia is also the author of a book entitled Design Thinking in Student Affairs: A Primer.

Julia holds an MBA in Global Leadership and a BA in Psychology. She has presented her work at various higher education conferences across North America and has trained and coached hundreds of students, faculty, and staff through an equity-centered design thinking process in support of projects that create wide-scale change. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
